In order to better serve the needs of our community, effective May 1, 2008, the Township's Zoning Office will be open on Saturdays from 8 a.m. - 11 a.m., as well during regular hours Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m - 4:30 p.m.

VACANCIES ON COOLBAUGH TOWNSHIP PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION

AND ENVIRONMENTAL ADVISORY COUNCIL

                                                                                                           

The Coolbaugh Township Board of Supervisors are looking for candidates to fill one (1) vacancy on the Parks & Recreation Commission (term ending 12/31/2012) and one (1) vacancy on the Environmental Advisory Council (term ending 12/31/2011). The Parks & Rec meeting is held at 7 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month, with the EAC meeting following it. This is a great opportunity to get involved with the community and be a part of its efforts to foster recreational activities at the Township Park and to protect valuable local environmental resources.

 

Any Township resident interested in serving on the commission, council or both should send a letter of interest to the attention of the Township Secretary, Coolbaugh Township Municipal Center, 5550 Memorial Blvd., Tobyhanna, PA 18466.

Coolbaugh Township was incorporated in 1794 and is now a Second
Class Township with a population of 15,205 in the 2000 census. The 
Township is 88.3 square miles, or 56,512 acres, with about 70 miles
of township roads. The Township is governed by a five member
Board of Supervisors. 

 

The Board meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month
